I just received my textbook that I ordered directly from Amazon and I'm very pleased so far. Since I didn't want to pay over $100 for a book, I purchased a used copy that was noted to be in "good" condition for about $20 (prices will vary on condition available). The book arrived as described, with little to no damage--basically, it's exactly as it was described, if not slightly better.

If you order this book, make sure to double check what you add to your cart. There's a link for New "add to cart" and then a Used "add to cart" just below it, which should say "shipped and sold from Amazon." There are, of course, used and new links elsewhere on the page, but they're sold from other merchants. Just make sure to double check, and also clarify that you have the right edition.

If you purchased a used book, the access code inside will likely be used as well, which shouldn't be the case if you pay full price for a new one from Amazon (can't say for other merchants). If you purchase a used book and need the code, you can go to the meguffey(dot)com site to purchase the code there, which will link you to a CengageBrain(dot)come site for the actual purchase, or you can just go to CengageBrain and find the book edition/access code there. Currently, it's marked at $40.25 and seems to be good for 181 days after purchase--at least, that was the case for me. Handy for those who only need it for a semester and want to save money.

This came with the access card, so I enjoy the supplemental web exercises. Great price for a lot of useful information! I really like that I can tear the pages out. When I go to my class, I don't want to have to carry a whole book for just the chapter we're working on. I have so many heavy books as it is, so the option of tearing it the pages out is very convenient. (I wish all text books had perforated pages.) The content of the book itself is very boring, but it could be the subject itself so I don't want to downgrade the book just because it's boring.

This text book was in great condition, no tears, rips or binding tears. It had several pencil and highlighter markings throughout the book. Other than these markings, was highly satisfied with my purchase. This text book was in far greater condition than other used books that I have purchased on Amazon. This Essentials of Business Communications text came with the online materials also, they were in great condition. I usually would pay $80 to $100 for a text in this condition, but only paid $30. Excellent buy for a used book listed in good condition.

I bought this because it was required for school. But i did like how this book gave you a lot of examples. But it is very much a beginner book for those who have never written business memos
