Mr Boiron served the interests of the buyer – even though he was the listing agent! Everyone is disappointed: the vendor - a lovely senior who had the house since the eighties both her sons and I who witnessed the debacle. How many times was Claude going to guess which presenting agent read his book? Almost every time through several offers: "he read my book, that's exactly what I would do" or " she didn't read my book, she's so angry". While the senior wilted under pressure and the son's reasoning fell on deaf ears, Claude leveraged his "expertise". "I'm the expert" he said. No way you will get what you expect for this house. No matter that it's a seller's market. Let's take what is offered before holding the open house, can't you feel the pressure that the buyers feel? Irrevokible is midnight. Take the offer or it disappears! A quick sale, a list of potential buyers from the open house he insisted would only be polite the hold since he paid for and distributed flyers through the whole neighborhood. My advice - buyers and sellers, find an agent with a little less ego. Claude will serve his own interest, not yours. Whether you read his book or not.

This is the first time I have ever felt I had to review a product on amazon. I got this book for Christmas from my wife. The title is very misleading. I would have called it "How to be an Average Realtor." But that doesn't sell copies. There is nothing significant of note in the book, it is the basic everyday workings of real estate you would have learned in class, and do every day. I think this was more so of a book to put a feather in his hat, and tell his potential clients that he has authored a real estate book. If you are in real estate, your money is much better invested elsewhere.
