I purchased this book for a doctoral class and now it is my go to book. I have now used it in my classes that I teach at the University of Indianapolis and at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). For anyone interested in leadership, globalization or international management this is a must have. This is a historical overview of global leadership as an academic field and really gets to the point. For the next edition I hope the authors expand to look at the future of global leadership and address such topics as global leadership development in more depth. This reads well and is a wealth of knowledge on global leadership. The referenced articles provide a great reading list for more knowledge on global leadership. Michael Fields MBA

I found this book to be an excellent summary of the current research on global leadership. Well organized, clearly written, well researched with many good references. I would recommend particularly to HR professionals who have Learning and Development responsibilities in a global organization as well others who have roles related to the development of people in organizations.

The book helps to create a construct for global leadership while incorporating many schools of thought. Each chapter provided great insight into global leadership. As a graduate student I found the book an easy to follow scholarly piece of literature.

Bought this as it is the core text book for 1 of my postgraduate papers. The hardcover print is too expensive so I go for paperback.
To no disappointment the book arrives in light and compact copy, yet brief and straight to the point text book. Because of the size, it's comfortable reading to even to be brought to the bed for night time reference. I love especially the notes, excellence line-up. A must buy book for all international management students.

Very interesting book for school.
This book provides a comprehensive and broad coverage on various aspects of Global Leadership. Contents include coverage on key topics such as:
-Global Leadership Competencies,
-Process Models of Global Leadership Development,
-Assessing Global Leadership Competencies,
-Leading Global Teams,
-Leading Global Change,
-Global Leadership Development.

What I like also is that the book includes practical examples illustrating the concepts discussed; for example PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM global leadership development programs.
This book is useful for anyone who wants to get a good study on global leadership and how they can develop their own global leadership competencies.
