The E-Myth Manager: Why Management Doesn't Work - and What to Do About It. com User, 9 years ago. If you have ever read any other books or white papers on management, I'd wager that at the end you still had a nagging feeling that you STILL didn't get how to put their theories into practice. This book takes a totally different approach to management, that you don't and can't manage people you manage processes. With that said, it gives you a concrete tactical approach to your problems in management. Easy, fast, read, written as a story. Great addition to the series.

The book is an easy entertaining read, with Gerber's story telling ability you can breeze through it. Mark simplyusedphonesСм.

I LOVED the E-Myth, which makes this book so incredibly disappointing.

- The contrived premise with "Jack" is annoying and unbelievable.
- It seemed that every other page was an advertisement for the E-Myth Academy.
- The "speech texts" were long and unnecessary.
- The whole fixation on "Emperor" and the conflict between Management, Ownership, and Personal Life was convoluted

There were a few nugget buried in the pages, but it was not worth the read to find them.

Another Gerber classic. While the E-Myth/E-Myth Revisited are the cornerstone of the franchise, and should be read before diving into this work, Gerber brings some fresh insights into both management and manager in the E-Myth Manager.

As the E-Myth approach emphasizes, the fundamentals revolve around a system - in this case both a management system for business and career, that can be worked on, rather than merely in. Gerber takes us through the transformation of a composite manager - Jack - from frustrated middle management cog to E-Manager. He works through the developmentof a Vision, Primary Aim, Strategic Objective, Financial Strategy, Organizational Strategy, Management Strategy, People Strategy and Marketing Strategy. At each point, the emphasis is on system and consistent results - as well as self-knowledge and the preeminence of vision in the process.

The book will make you think and provides opportunities for both introspection and development. A good read.

This is a dissapointing attempt to put out another book. Most of the ideas are just re-hashed and re-named from Michael's other books, mainly the E-myth, which is a fantastic read. This book is also heavily contradictory. "Jack" one of Michael's employees working at the E-myth as a manager seems to be only learning everything for the first time as he has lost his way. Given that Michael waffles on about hiring processes to make sure no one can burn out I'm confused as to how "Jack" was able to get a job at the E-myth, work there for years, yet go unnoticed and not understand the E-Myth way. Not great when "Jack" has probably been billing his and his staff's hours as business coaches while not understanding the company's basic principles. Based on that, it would appear that Michael and the E-Myth either don't really believe in what they teach or don't bother to actually implement it themselves. If you loved the E-Myth avoid this one, it's lazy and will damage your views on the E-Myth as a whole.

This is an awesome book. It really helped me to understand my OWN vision and focus. I have managed for several years and yes, have always looked at the owners goals etc. I need to work on my own personal strengths and build my own self up to be the best I can be ! I loved the book because it was just a freshing new way to understand management. It opened my eyes.

This book has distilled the essence of what motivates and moves anyone in the workplace. It defines what motivates people from top to bottom and how you must act to empower the people you manage or get lost in the process of managing.
As an owner, the book opened my eyes to how empowerment can and hopefully will set me free.

Excellent book. It goes against the grain as far what we learn in our universities, but
I highly recommend this book for any business major or accounting student.
This is a great book for leaders and managers. This book closely resembles Michael Gerbers E-Myth Revisited for entrepreneurs, and why not, within every business there are different departments, each are businesses within the business, so each manager should act and run their department as they would their own business. The E-Myth Manager will help you do that.
