I am new to the executive recruiting business. I have found that there are not a lot of books and resources on this topic teaching "tricks of the trade". However, this book does cover a substantial amount of information and includes the author's personal good and bad experiences in his decades in the industry. The ebook is conveniently downloaded onto my Kindle for PC and has extremely valuable information regarding "dos and don'ts" when dealing with clients and candidates. I will refer to it often and the "helpful hints" at the end of each chapter are extra bonuses that reinforce what is most relevant.

A quick read that offers some interesting insights and tips on the industry - probably more useful to someone who's fairly new to the industry. Content aside, I was quite disappointed to find a number of spelling and grammar errors throughout the ebook format (for example: "until they receive a call form someone like you" - form is used instead of from) which became distracting and lessened the professional impact the book may have made otherwise. This was with the Kindle ebook format using the Kindle App on iPad. Perhaps it's a problem with the ebook format only but I've read many ebooks in the last year including others from Amazon and never encountered errors like this in a book I've purchased.

I was hoping for more tactical guidance on building my business. Something new. This is an excellent read for a junior recruiter who's maybe a year in and still building their overall philosophy. Or someone who is past 101, but still nailing down "best practices". This book did offer some good billing suggestions. I would not recommend this for senior professionals unless you need to "get back to basics". The editing made me cringe, as the text is laden with typos, but the
content was good overall. I will recommend this to my junior team members.

Great book. Very helpful when you start working in recruiting business. Gives you the basics that are absolutely necessary to know. The test you learn in practice but this book is a good way to start.

I was fortunate enough to have been well trained by my recruiting firm so info in this book, for me, was a great refresher course. If you have never been properly trained on the "art of recruiting" you need to read this!
