The 13-digit and 10-digit formats both work.

A lot of finance books get too much into the theory but this book is quite good at keeping it short and to the point without a lot of the random "finance" jargon. If you are exploring a career in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), this is a pretty good book.

Author: Lawrence J. Gitman. Publisher: Prentice Hall. Genres: Business & Money. Publish Date: January 10, 2011. The desire to write Principles of Managerial Finance came from the experience of teaching the introductory managerial finance course. Those who have taught the introductory course many times can appreciate the difficulties that some students have absorbing and applying financial concepts. The conversational tone and wide use of examples set off in the text still characterize Principles of Managerial Finance.

Gitman's proven learning system makes it easy for students to understand and fully appreciate the key concepts, tools, and techniques needed for astute financial decision making in today's competitive business arena. The text's organization conceptually links the firm's actions to its value as determined in the securities markets. Each major decision area is presented in terms of both risk and return factors and their potential impact on the owner's wealth, as reflected by share value. With a reliable and consistent framework, Gitman defines learning goals at the start of each chapter and incorporates a diverse group of pedagogical aids, using real-world examples and exercises to foster students' comprehension of both theory and practice.

The title is scary, but I think you'll especially appreciate this text if you're not that great at math. Good explanations of the "whys" in finance for managers. I knew this subject was coming up in my Project Management masters and also knew I wasn't ready for it! Instead of a 6-week course at the local high school, I took an honest-to-goodness college course that used this book.

When I got to my "real" class, I did much better than I would have without using this book as a primer. Well-written.

Not knowing me, you have no idea how amazing this next statement is but: I got a "B" in my master's level course and I couldn't have done that without the great instructor I had and this text in the undergrad class.
Great book, with very good examples. Some problems a little difficult to follow at times but this is not the kind of book you read for pleasure. You have to dedicate time to understanding each chapter before you began working on the problems. It'll take you some 3 to 5 months to go through the whole book depending on the time you dedicate to it.

This book is very organized and offers links to a Web page that provides wonderful templates and additional information to supplement the book. This text is written in clear prose with examples that further enforce the concepts. I learned a great deal about the world of financial management and would recommend to anyone who is working in business finance.
Excellent and appropriat for the class study as required.Shipping and delivery on time. In reguards to your class requirements, no need to go anywhere else.Product delivered ahead of schedule and in excellent condition. If you are into finance as a major then this is a requirement.
I have had many finance text books, but this one seems to explain these somewhat dry, abstract concepts in lay men terms making it fairly simple to understand not only the concepts, but how to put these concepts together and into practice. I would surely recommend this text to anyone seeking to learn finance. Great for the beginner!
Great book
this book is a previous edition of book required for my managerial finance course, and guess what... they are exactly the same except for the fact that homework problems at the end of the chapter are flip-flopped even that they are exactly the same.... just proves that releasing new edition is not for good of student but for financial gain of author and publisher.
good book to refresh your finance knowledge. the book isn't too technical or wordy, it's short and to the punch. But which there was more examples with step by step solutions. Warning however, this isn't a self teaching book I would say more for those who have had finance classes.
