PC-rider

Just went on a 10-day camping trip through Big Bend back in December. The quality of the map is great and was very useful as my friend and I went backpacked the outer mountain loop + south rim trail (4 days total). Just wanted to point out that a few trail heads are somewhat off in location/name once you are on top of the Chisos Mountain, one specifically by South Rim and Boot Canyon Trail.

Very good map and very high quality construction. I've been using this map for almost 10 years and it still holds together perfectly. Some of the hipster/yuppie types from Austin want more precise trail detail in the Basin but they need to get out of the Basin and into the desert anyway so I wouldn't listen to their griping. Really a good map.

Invissibale

Awesome map of BBNP. Big Bend is one of the largest national parks, and this map covers it all and does a good job. One side is the whole park, and the other is a larger scale map of the Chisos. I carried this map with me while hiking the Marufo Vega trail (but I recommend getting a 7.5-minute map or having a good GPS for that hike) and while hiking in the Chisos.

Freaky Hook

If you are going to Big Bend, buy this map...I searched for maps online, etc. and could never get a "true" picture of everything. I wanted a map before we got there (later this year) to have a better perspective on things...this map is great!

Nuadabandis

This map was very helpful in our hiking expedietions, dragging it out every 60 minutes or so, accurate listings, durable, no issues dragging it out, folding it up many many times in just a few days.

Bynelad

Big Bend is a large park, so driving for up to an hour to get to the visitor station where you can purchase this map and then wait for the station to open at 9am is a commitment. There are free maps available on the park's website, but none are as detailed as this National Geographic map. I used this map to hike the South Rim trail and to plan the rest of my trip to Big Bend. The map is made from a nice durable material so it resists tears. No complaints.

Ynap

Big Bend is my happy place, and this shows where all the trails go. The map is durable and shows most of everything to see in the park. It is a must for frequent visitors.

Like the whole National Geographic map series, this illustrated map is extremely helpful to anybody exploring Big Bend. We used it to hike some smaller hikes and the information was very reliable. The durable paper is helpful in the extreme climate of Big Bend as it is likely that your sweat or drink from your water bottle will eventually touch the map. I always folded the map to fit the pockets of my hiking shorts without causing any wear or tear. Great product!
