William Rich Hutton (March 21, 1826 – December 11, 1901) was a surveyor and artist who became an architect and civil engineer in Maryland and New York in the latter half of the 19th century. His sketches of the pueblo of Los Angeles and diary of his life as a surveyor in California were published by the Huntington Library.

Charles Hutton FRS FRSE LLD (14 August 1737 – 27 January 1823) was an English mathematician and surveyor. He was professor of mathematics at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich from 1773 to 1807. He is remembered for his calculation of the density of the earth from Nevil Maskelyne's measurements collected during the Schiehallion experiment. Hutton was born on Percy Street in Newcastle upon Tyne in the north of England, the son of a superintendent of mines, who died when he was still very young

Aside from being the longest river flowing through Wales, this river is also the longest in Great Britain. On a larger scale, this river is in the second position in terms of length in the British Isles. The flow of this river starts at Plynlimon, Wales at an elevation of about 2,000 feet. The mouth of the Severn is situated at the Severn Estuary. The source of this river is at the slopes of Dduallt, Wales while its mouth is at the Dee Estuary.
