Jeff Mariotte's second tale in the series shows the determined band, Kral, Donial and Alanya, searching for the crown in distant lands and over seas. The author cleverly includes distinctive minor characters, such as Caption Ferrin and Captain Kunios, as he further develops the main characters. Kral's dream in the book portends the advent of the Ice Bear, and sufficiently entices this reader to read on! And Conan's brief cameo appears authentic and true to tradition. Overall, a fun read, indeed!

One nit; how could a Pict develop language mastery so quickly? I don't believe for one second that Kral knows the word for "Calluses", for example.
