Phyllis Schieber is an American writer. Schieber's first novel, Strictly Personal, for young adults, was published by Fawcett-Juniper in 1987. It was published in 2011 by Bell Bridge Books. Her next work, The Sinner's Guide to Confession, came out in 2008, and a year after Willing Spirits was published by William Morrow. Schieber's most recent work is The Manicurist, in which she painted a fine portrait of the struggles and challenges of being different in an unforgiving world.

There are a few serious moments in the story like when Lenny broke his leg and when Lenny and Bess broke up, there also wasn't much action or conflict in the strory. I think the author should have put more action and suspence into his writing; it would make it a lot more exciting.
