My son is a reluctant reader, but the Dubious Deeds books are such fun, so silly, he loves them. I had to buy the whole series. In fact, I like to read them aloud so I don't miss the stories either! A great book for a kid who likes a little irreverent humor in his books.

The whole Eddie Dickens series is fabulous.

I enjoy reading it to my wife and son (7) on an evening.

My son goes on to read it himself after we have finished one.

Start from the beginning with Awful End and go from there.

5* to Philip Ardgh and his rather odd sense of humour :)

OMW! I have never read a more pointless, confusing, horrible book as this! Some people may like Mr. Ardagh's style, but I say, NO WAY! Although I like Scotland and the people in it, this guy is a bit of a loony.
