If you can make it past the introduction, it's a good book. Written at a middle school level, it goes in-depth into Hidatsa customs and culture. Nice diagrams, historical photographs, and paintings add a lot to the text. The book does a good job developing how reservation life has changed and is continuing to change the Hidatsa.
