i have more of a tech background than most due to my line of work. consequently when win8 came out i had to keep up and have learned it is always good to have a reference manual especially with such a new gui and overall design of the os. that said do not fear win8 is not difficult to get used to and for those times when what used to work no longer does, this book helps the learning curve.

A brief review of Windows 8, but enough to convince me I will stick with Windows 7. I am too old to play around tryng to get a program designed for touch screens to work on my laptop that doesn't have a touch screen,

This 'guide' is a total waste of money, time and effort. It covered nor showed anything that most intelligent people can't figure-out

I would have liked more bullet points and simple explanations. I am a computer professional, but I can't say that this book helped me much with Win8.

The information given in the book is also available on line at no cost. The book was no help at all.
