Rigid-body dynamic simulations are by far the most interesting ones, with applications ranging from .

Rigid-body dynamic simulations are by far the most interesting ones, with applications ranging from mechanical-systems design and prototyping, to robotic motion, to physics-based computer-graphics animations. A rigid body is modeled as a collection of particles that make up its geometric shape. This chapter of the book describes the large motion non-linear dynamics of multi-body discrete 1, 2 and n degree-of-freedom systems using scalar and matrix methodologies (Lagrange’s equations) to write the related equations of motion.

Dynamic Simulations of Multibody Systems. The book is written for the designers of software to represent the kinematics and dynamics of systems of rigid bodies

Dynamic Simulations of Multibody Systems. The book is written for the designers of software to represent the kinematics and dynamics of systems of rigid bodies. The book contains a vast store of information on computer graphics and the associated procedures. Ronald L. Huston, Zentralblatt MATH, Vol. 976, 2002).

Computational Dynamics. Hierarchical Representation of 3D Polyhedra. These simulation engines restrict the general case of physically based modeling to the particular case wherein the objects interacting are either particles or rigid bodies. 3D 3D graphics Animation Simulation algorithms computer animation computer graphics construction differential equation modeling.

This book is for the simulation of rigid body systems. Well written and concise. There are no code in this book. 7 people found this helpful. Just explain the theoretical aspect of the simulation of rigid body systems. If you are familiar with matrix manipulation and dynamics, this book is for you. The core part is impulsive force and contact force case calculation. Collision detection is also well written however, there are also good books to explain only an efficient collision detection algorithm.

This book introduces the techniques needed to produce realistic simulations and animations of particle and rigid body systems

This book introduces the techniques needed to produce realistic simulations and animations of particle and rigid body systems. It focuses on both the theoretical and practical aspects of developing and implementing physically based dynamic simulation engines that can be used to generate convincing animations of physical events involving particles and rigid bodies. It can also be used to produce accurate simulations of mechanical systems, such as a robotic parts feeder.
