Steps to success is a comprehensive guide to the mechanics of squash. I really enjoyed the detailed drill diagrams and frame by frame pictures of the shots. The chapter on movement is especially helpful since it shows the difference between the traditional and more modern dynamic movement. One mistake I have is I don't bend enough into my shots. So the pictures helped emphasize that point. There are good drills for both solo practice as well as partner practice. Whenever I go on court I typically just do straight drives to myself. But the book has opened up quite a lot other drills I should be doing that are more challenging and interesting.

Overall the book is not something you can finish in a couple of weeks. You have to work on each specific shot for some time before moving on to other shots. There is a score sheet for each drill that tells you when you're ready to move onto the next step. If you are serious about improving your game from a grounds up approach, this is definitely the book for you.

GREAT book to read if you like to play squash! One of my favorite Squash books! Very detailed and teach the game well!

The Drills listed are quite good. I wish there was a way to remember them while you are on the court. It feels a bit goofy to carry the book to a game!
I think a DVD accompanying the book would be really nice. Most of the exercises / techniques are in-motion & seeing them on a video would be perfect.
Otherwise, good coverage from basics to advanced training & tactics.
A minor thing to note was that most of the illustrations use left-handed players to show the techniques. Can be a minor annoyance as I had to adjust my perspective to a right-handed player.

The book is well done but there are chapters in the kindle version that are completely messed up. The chapter on disguise and deception is practically unreadable due to words jumbled out of order. Is it possible to get a cleaned up version that is readable all the way through?

Gift for husband. He is reading it now. I think he finds it interesting

This is just an amazing book. In today's world of you tube videos for everything, I never thought a book could be this helpful and so precise in teaching a sport.

Good book for new players and above. Would recommend for someone still learning game like me. Most drill require partners to practice. Not to many folks like to practice...only play.
The book is well written. Provides a basic understanding of the game for beginners and intermediate players. excellent drills......
