Good light hearted, humorous stories about different players and events in the baseball world. easy read as every story is short and to the point. You can put it down and come back to it days later because you dont have to remember where you left off because theres no main story plot., just mostly enjoyable 2 or 3 page stories.

Of admission. If you're a fan, this is the kind of stuff you want to read. Along with You Gotta Have Wah, this is one of my fave baseball reads of late.

THIS IS A COLLECTION OF SOME HUMOROUS AND OFF THE WALL STORIES ABOUT SOME OF BASBALL'S BIG NAMES. MOST OF THE PLAYERS COVERED ARE A PAGE OR TWO AND ARE ENTERTAINING. THIS IS NOTHING EARTH MOVING BUT I LIKED IT AND SUGGEST IT FOR ALL BASEBALL FANS. A NICE RAINY DAY FILLER.

The stories are lame. They are more incidental than interesting. A young boy may be interested in some of the stories. It is hyperbole to call these very short stories "The Greatest" anything.

A far better book is The Greatest Baseball Stories Ever Told: Thirty Unforgettable Tales from the Diamond by Jeff Silverman.
