Walsch seems to have tapped into a deep need of many folks to find some authority that will help them avoid the angst of being human and living with all the unknowables in life...there have been many such writers the past century who paved the way that he has converted into a path of gold...money that is...without bothering to list them in any bibliography or even to reference his sources...not even scriptures from the Bible when he chooses to use them...It does nothing to present facts to people whose minds are made up one way or the other so I will not debate any of the 5-star reviews....but it seems obvious their reasoning leaves a lot to be desired because anyone who claims the voice of God is by definition schizophrenic...Here is just one of his infamous discoveries - there is no truth except the truth that is within you....So Walsch gets two stars for finding a need and filling it...He cites the golden rule of treating others as you want to be treated but he puts a twist on it in his books by treating others as they want to be treated...interesting...and much more profitable...The bottom line using reason and logic to explain his success is it must all be god's will or it would be different...not the manmade god in holy books but the prime mover in the universe....generator, operator, destroyer....GOD....it does whatever it wants with whomever it wants...ergo theofatalism...but that is a different kind of book for a different kind of reader of which there are very very few.....just saying...

I read all three of the Conversations With God series and also A Friendship with God and I found them to
be very comforting. I trust my intuition or inner guidance whenever reading a spiritually based book and if
it does not resonate with me then I do not continue reading.
These books for the most part did resonate with me. There were a few passages in the books where i thought Neale was
just doing some creative writing based on his experiences , but overall they did feel like they were a conversation with God, The Universe, a higher power, our higher self...It does not matter how you want to describe it; it is al the same. I feel the author has given a great gift to the world with his experience and concept. We need to communicate with God in a real way that makes sense. God or The Tao is naturally loving and giving. It is in no need of worship or fear.
This book of the entire series resonated with me the most. As I read the words it just made sense. I have read many books on the near death experience and life after death. I began exploring this concept when I was young after losing a close friend tragically and suddenly. I felt there has to be more to who we are and this experience then just what we feel with our senses. The ones we love just cannot vanish and be gone because a physical body stops working. That life force we love when we look into the eyes of someone we love feels so powerful. it would be naive and short sighted to think that inhabiting this body is all it is there for.
When I read this book I felt like all my thoughts and questions about where we go next in our journey was answered.
Some of it felt like very new concepts but much of it felt like a reminder, like I was remembering something that was deep inside of me. It gave me great comfort but not in a false way. I didn't feel that it was just a nice story and meant to give me comfort like so
many theories have felt like. I really felt that this was the process. About a year after reading this I lost another friend and rereading this book gave me comfort again.
My father has been grieving since the loss of my mother 8 years ago and I recently gave him my beat up and dog eared copy of this book to read. I was hesitant because he can be cynical and I was afraid he would try to discourage my beliefs. he had read other books and and even went to hear some lectures from people who had near death experiences and always felt disappointed. He always seemed to feel that they were either fakes or he was not getting what they were saying. He loved this book and felt it was speaking to him. He said he felt very peaceful while reading it and keeps it bu his chair every day to look at if he has the urge.
I am going to give this book to every one I know. It will be a great tool and comfort if they are able to just stay open and let the message wash over them. It is a book full of good vibrations and loving thoughts. We are always home with God but don't realize it. Death gives us a larger perception that the physical closes us off from because we get so caught up in what is here. our heaven is right here and so is all the love we have experienced with everyone we ever knew alive or passed on.
I urge everyone to give this book to yourself as a gift if you are at all curious about the subject, have lost someone close to you( you never lose them), or just enjoy the Conversations With God concept of living in this world. I hope it brings you more peace and Joy. I am so grateful the author has shared this with the world. Peace.

Neale Donald Walsh's OUTSTANDING new book "Home With God: In a Life That Never Ends" is a breathtaking explanation from God about the death experience, and what to expect when we go to the other side.

To give you a feel for this extraordinary book, here is a brief explanation quoted directly from the book: (note: I placed "Neale" and "God" so you will understand who is speaking.)

(Neale) "I had heard that we are reunited with our loved ones after death and that they help us "cross over," and I am soooo glad to know that this is true!

(GOD) You may even become aware of the presence of some of those loved ones before your death.

(Neale) Before my death?

(GOD) Yes. Many people, while they are still in their physical bodies, announce to others in the room that they are seeing loved ones, or that their beloved has come for them.
Those others in the room often try to convince dying people that they are seeing things-and they ARE seeing things, things that are very real, but things that other people cannot see because of their limited perspective. Your perspective widens immensely after "death"-and often in the moments just before you die.

(Neale) That's exciting! Now you're almost making death sound exciting.

(GOD) It IS exciting. In fact, your death can be one of the most exciting moments of your life. It all depends on what you believe. As in life, in death what you believe is what you will experience.
For instance, if you do not experience the presence of these spirits at the time of your death it will be because you do not expect to, and because the possibility of their presence lies outside of your belief system. Yet if you so much as hope that these loving presences will be there, you will immediately perceive them.

(Neale) I understand. So it is really important to be clear about your beliefs surrounding death.

(GOD) It is important in life to be clear about your beliefs surrounding everything. It is not just your death that is affected by your beliefs, but your WHOLE LIFE." (My Caps.)

*****
It is my deepest belief that anyone who has ever been afraid to die will receive great relief after reading this book.

There is the most love filled tone throughout, of course that unconditionally loving tone and feel comes from GOD.

There is so much reassurance, beauty and truth. Can we "prove" any of this information? Not with scientific data, however, we CAN ask anyone who HAS "died", went to the other side, and came back.

Of course every person's death experience will be as unique as the person, and THIS is "why" this book is so important!

There is GRAND LIFE in the death experience. I would also HIGHLY suggest this book to anyone who misses a loved one who has passed on. I feel you will receive a great deal of relief and inner peace from this book.

I also feel this book would be PERFECT for anyone who does have a terminal illness, and IS facing "death" in the near future. I am positive it will bring the same feeling of relief and inner peace.

This is an OUTSTANDING book that I recommend from my heart. The subject matter goes into ultra fine detail, and there is not a dull moment in the read.

Thank you, Neale, for your extraordinary contribution to humanity!
This book deserves at minimum 10 stars!
