Home Jennifer Ashley Wicked Deeds of Daniel Mackenzie. The unforgettable Mackenzies return as Ashley spins the fourth in the series into another mesmerizing, intensely emotional romance that steals readers’ hearts and minds.

Home Jennifer Ashley Wicked Deeds of Daniel Mackenzie. With her innovative plots and characters, Ashley pushes the boundaries of the genre and creates ‘keepers,’ because they touch readers on many levels. It’s all such a seductive world, you’ll get swept away, just as I did.

Daniel Mackenzie lives up to the reputation of the scandalous Mackenzie family-he has wealth. Overall, I'm one satisfied reader after reading The Wicked Deeds of Daniel MacKenzie. For ages, I waited for this book, and I was not disappointed in the slightest. This will be one I reread many, many times.

The Mackenzies continue to weave their magic and I loved Daniel’s story. He is the last of the Mackenzies to settle down but I am delighted that it is not the end of the series as Jennifer Ashley confirms on her blogspot. I will do a novella and novel about the remaining McBride brothers (teaser for Sinclair is at end of Daniel's book).

Книга жанра: Любовные романы, Исторические любовные романы. He doesn’t have the ace. Daniel Mackenzie held four eights, and he’d backed that fact with large stacks of money. He faced Mortimer, who was ten years older and had a face like a weasel. Mortimer was pretending he’d just been given an ace from the young woman who dealt the cards at the head of the table, completing his straight.

I have loved this series, so the re-emergence of characters from previous instalments is welcomed, although they must be off-putting to readers coming cold to this story.
And I disagree with the reviewer who was alienated by Ashley's treatment of Violets's past. Yes, it was violent and oft mentioned, even dwelt on. Indeed, it is the most powerful part of the story and handled unflinchingly, but in an empathetic manner. Violet is a wonderful, courageous heroine, full of flaws and fears but yearning to be light, honest and free.
Her mother is a leech who is rightly exposed as lacking the most essential characteristics of a caring parent.
The Mackenzies are as plentiful and gorgeous as usual.
The H, Daniel, is almost too marvelous to be true, even for a romance. In regard to his relationship with Violet, he shines through almost all of the book. His only failings seem to be that he is rich, indulged and easily able to charm everyone he meets. (Surely one of his previous lovers found him lacking?)
This story starts with a bang, accelerates in a satisfying way, but somehow fizzles at the end.
It is difficult to understand why the intensity fades towards the finale.
Perhaps it is because the ominous warnings by Hart and Ian aren't matched by Daniel's subsequent behaviour?
Or because Violet almost seems to be subsumed by the power of his family?
Or because Daniel's prediction that they would both be burned by their relationship never materialises?
Finally - could someone enumerate a list of the wicked deeds? Certainly the comeuppance for the red-headed man should rank as ruthless, but it is hard to see any others as wicked.
Despite these reservations, this is still better than 90% of the romances currently on sale, so it deserves a 4.
PS Thanks, thanks to the author for the pricing of this book. She deserves grateful congratulation.

So, I've been a followers of this series from the first book, The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie. Typically, series will fizzle out for me, but not this one. Still going strong, baby, still going strong.

I've spent the entire series teetering between my two favorite MacKenzie brothers, Ian and Cameron, unable to decide which one I loved more. Then... then, along came Daniel MacKenzie, the reckless teenager we first met in book one of the Highland Pleasures series. The perceptive, intelligent younger MacKenzie who traipses all over Europe looking after his uncle and aunties, living up the wicked MacKenzie name. Daniel MacKenzie, my new fictional love.

Since the reader is so well acquainted with Daniel throughout the whole series and watches him grow into manhood, I knew this author would have to make his story exceptional, with a rocking heroine and all that. I mean, she had to! This is Daniel we're talking about. Daniel, Danny boy, with a father who doesn't know how to take care of him, a mother that tried to murder him in the cradle, and member of a family that is full of tormented, troubled men. Of course, she had to give him a happily ever after with a heroine who deserved him.

Task accomplished.

I've officially dubbed this book my favorite in the series. Yes, I'm gushing about the book, but I can't help it.

I absolutely loved Daniel. He is not unlike his uncles. When he sees something he wants, namely Violet, he goes after it. And he doesn't stop until she is absolutely and completely his. Our Danny boy is a fabulous hero who has no difficulty recognizing the woman he wants to spend his life with, and he doesn't mind facing her demons together with her, all in the name of love.

Now, our heroine, Violet. I can honestly say this author doesn't tend to disappoint with her heroines either. These MacKenzie men need a strong, determined lady by their side. The conventional miss would not do for any of these men. Violet is a wonderful heroine for Daniel. Able to read anyone, it made sense she had no idea just what Daniel was thinking most of the time. And it was because he was actually being genuine with her. No artifice, no ulterior motives. He just honestly wanted to be with her, and she had no idea how to react to him.

Overall, I'm one satisfied reader after reading The Wicked Deeds of Daniel MacKenzie. For ages, I waited for this book, and I was not disappointed in the slightest. This will be one I reread many, many times.
