The H is seriously older than the h. In fact, the H has a son her age and wants to marry her himself. I couldn't get over the father and son both wanting the h. It was a gross concept.

Pretty good book on a familiar revenge to romance theme.

The paperback I have read is,Elusive as the unicorn by Carole Mortimer.
This story is a light romance and there is no Alpha male.
This is simply about a woman who is engaged to a man that she has known
for many years but, they are not suited for each other and she refuses to see it.
In this story, she meets a new man and he is in love with her and wants to marry
her but,can he convince her of this ?

This book, originally published in 1989, has some interesting things to say about men and women, misogyny, control, and consent (and even mansplaining). The heroine is an artist whose identity is concealed mostly because her aspiring politician fiance doesn't want her to be in any spotlight. The hero wants her to stand up for herself from the very start.
