Claiming His Runaway Bride book.

Claiming His Runaway Bride - Yvonne Lindsay. The smile he returned seemed strained; the lines on his face deeper than usual. Suddenly her desire to be released from her room here at Auckland City Hospital fled, and the place she’d itched to be free of assumed proportions more in line with a much-sought-after sanctuary. A disturbing thought occurred to her. If you’re my husband why haven’t you been here at my side, like my parents have?

His beautiful bride had no recollection of fleeing her groom on their wedding day…or the real reason behind their union.

He Didn't Want Her To Remember The accident that had taken Belinda's memory had provided Luc with the perfect means for. His beautiful bride had no recollection of fleeing her groom on their wedding day…or the real reason behind their union.

Claiming His Runaway Bride -Yvonne Lindsay The accident that had taken Belinda's memory had provided Luc with the perfect means for revenge. Only the heart-throb with the sexy smile was gone. In his place was a world-weary cowboy who ignited her long-suppressed passion.

Claiming His Runaway Bride" by Yvonne Lindsay is a perfect example of why I have been a lifelong lover of category romance. This is a very intense story line with a taut air of mystery mixed with sexual tension, and that electric chemistry between the man and woman is tainted by the thrall of power and possession. Luc Tanner is very much a scarred anti-hero. Love is not a word in his thought processes, even when it comes to his wife, Belinda, the woman he desires above all others.

She rolled over to her other side, and Luc curved his arm around her, pulling her in close against the hardness of his body. He felt her stiffen as the evidence of his arousal nestled along the crease of her buttocks, then felt her relax into him as the truth of his obvious desire for her sank in, secure in the knowledge his rejection of her wasn’t because he didn’t want her.

He loved her too much. ... and in the wrong way....

This story was both enjoyable but also ... really painful (in a really bad way)

She gets amnisia due to an accident, and he wants her to remember... SOME things but not others.

He's not alpha arogant, but he is alpha selfish. And he black mails her in a way. The most annoying part is she lets him. I never thought a husband would.... rape... his wife, or evwn thought that kind of sinareo was logistically possible.

He honestly loved her to the point of hurting her, in more ways than one.

The manga is well written and stuff, i just wish... there was a bit more to work with, that and the story isn't something i would enthusiasticly read again.

Its kind of like black coffe, first it smells wonderfull, but when you try it for the 1st time... its really bitter.

I don't know if i'd forgive him, but honestly its harlequin, so the guy gets what he wants in the end.

I read the reviews and had to see for myself. I read the manga version not the original novel. The hero is so obsessed with the heroine. After a car accident she wakes up with amnesia. SPOILERS! She eventually remembers that the cause of the accident was her driving recklessly trying to get away from her new husband after she learns he has deceived her, blocking her from her dream job. She accidentally hit him with the car causing his leg injury. After she remembers more she is understandably upset with him. He begins to force her to have sex with him. He finally gives up and lets her go only to have her return to his side 2 years later. Yes, she returned to her rapist husband. I have no clue how that is meant to be romantic. Ugh

Wow! This was a great read! The author went for a story with a beauty-and-the-beast theme and she delivered. This was perfect. She went at the story with a heroine who lost her memory of the "beast". The beast, like in the fairy-tale, knew he was a beast and was helpless about his condition. So in this sense, the storyline was different. I liked how the beast in this story came to realize that he was indeed a beast. The only negative I see for this book (and this was only in the final two pages or so thus I am still giving the entire book 5 stars) was that the ending should have included an apology and plea for forgiveness. This book is definitely a keeper.

"Claiming His Runaway Bride" by Yvonne Lindsay is a perfect example of why I have been a lifelong lover of category romance. It also was a terrific reminder of why I love my favorite authors. Struggling to regain her memory after a traumatic accident in which her husband was also injured, Belinda both loves and desires her husband. However, she senses that there are elements of their life together which don't fit the image of a happily married couple. Luc sees love as a weakness, one that led to his mother's death at the hands of his own father. The abuse that Luc and his mother suffered from his father forced Luc to armor plate his heart and to focus on becoming an untouchable, unrivaled force in the business world. He thinks that he only desires Belinda, and that she is necessary for his plan for success, but his heart knows better than his mind. It is only by letting go of what he holds most important that Luc will eventually gain more than he ever imagined. Wonderful storytelling!
