This is not a Sara Craven book that I will repeatedly read. I spent more than half the book wanting to smack the girl in the leading role, Leigh. She is a horribly spoiled, unrealistic, hard-headed fool. Had this been a real life situation, I have no doubt that she would have been raped and/or killed. And it is only through luck and sheer hard-headedness that she manages to survive long enough to discover her true self and change her ways.

If not for the story's exotic setting of Peru, I don't think I would have finished it.
This book is filled with intense passion and sensuality. The heroine, Leigh, is a fiery yet innocent young englishwoman in the heart of Peru searching for her fiance. Instead, she finds herself looking into the topaz eyes of Rourke Martinez, who finds himself attracted to her in a big way. Miss Craven really makes us feel like we're in the wildes of Peru and also makes us feel Leigh's sweet innocence and Rourke's intense sensuality. Great book!
