John Dee: Essential Readi. has been added to your Cart. Unfortunately, while it's good that an anthology of Dee's writings exists at all, I don't believe that Mr. Suster did a very good job in including texts from the whole of Dee's career.

John Dee: Essential Readi. While the focus of the anthology is on the occult, there are sections from texts such as Dee's "Mathematicall Preface" to Euclid that are very esoteric that Suster just passes over. I believe that this is because the scope, and approach, is either dismissive of Dee's other works, or does not think that they would be applicable in understanding his occult beliefs.

Suster was born 2 August 1951 in Hampstead, London, and was educated at Highgate School and Trinity Hall, Cambridge.
