The William Blake Tarot of the Creative Imagination is a practical and inspirational tool for personal creativity that features the art and ideas of William Blake (1757-1827). This tarot card deck represents something really new for William Blake - a way to take him home and 'play' with him, to get acquainted with him as never before possible. It is an attempt to free William Blake from intellectual bondage.
I have been using the William Blake Tarot for the past four years and cannot recommend it highly enough. You will want to also have the book that Buryn created to accompany these cards. It never fails to give clear insight into any situation; furthermore, the advice that arises seems unfailingly to come from a place of depth and wisdom. It explains the imagery and Blake's philosophical system in enough detail to make the cards truly user friendly. Without it, you might be challenged in understanding the meaning of the readings.

In designing the William Blake Tarot Of The Creative Imagination, Buryn sought to introduce new symbology of a classical nature. To do this, he turned to the works of William Blake. Blake, through his poetry and painting, evolved a complex personal mythology in which god-like creatures called Zoas came to symbolize the divine aspects of the human psyche. These archetypal figures, and the energies that they represent, have become the Triumphs of this deck. Amazingly simple, yet amazingly complex - showing the souls journey through life.
