I'm not a PR or communications major, but I thought this book felt like a very vague glossing-over of what PR is, unless the PR is just a vaguely defined profession... also some parts of it were just plain stupid, especially some of the "explanatory" charts/illustrations. The key terms were frustrating because they would appear as bold words in the text sometimes without any explanation before or after the words as to what it means, so you must then look them up in the back and usually get something also unhelpful and vague... I just didn't like it.

This is a sadly written text. It makes PR sound enormously boring. I have no idea if the practice of PR is enormously dull, but if this textbook is trying to inspire students to join the field it has failed at that mission. The textbook cries out for a rewrite and more interesting examples. Hopefully later versions have included those.
