Bought it for my husband whose first book like this is falling apart. He thinks it's the best basic Itanian book he's seen.

The book is relatively easy to follow and isn't the least bit intimidating for the eager, but uncertain student; however, I had an Italian teacher and weekly classes to review and practice the lessons. I'm not certain it would be as easy without a teacher or audio lessons to help with pronunciation.

I used this for a class and I was very satisfied with its contents. Unfortunately, my Italian wasn't very satisfying, but that's no reflection on the book.
