A family is escorting royal beast to a distant planet when they have to land on a forest planet. There they end up in the middle of a conflict between its two inhabitant people, other human and other bears seemingly, but through sheer audacity and spirit they manage to solve all the problems. A bit like Enid Blyton in space, if Blyton A story from the age when more often than not Sf stories directed at children or young in any form underestimated them. Not horrible if read as a sign of its times.

Dragonfall 5 is a series of children's science fiction novels written by Brian Earnshaw during the 1970s and illustrated by Simon Stern. The series takes place in the 3rd millennium and concerns a (presumably British) family made up of Tim, Sanchez, Old Elias and Big Mother, traveling in the eponymous spaceship, the Dragonfall 5. They transport goods, passengers and other items to a variety of worlds.

Dragonfall 5 swung suspended in orbit, fifty thousand miles out from the moons of the planet Mowl. Even in daytime the moons were so bright that Big Mother had pulled all the shutters and curtains on that side of the cabin. Fading all my paintwork!' she said. And now, after three days of waiting, Tim and Sanchez only rolled back a corner of curtain every now and then, just to reassure themselves that anything as remarkable as the moons of Mowl really did exist.

Another interplanetary puffball in which the crew of Dragonfall 5 land on a forest world where helium-balloon flowers .

Another interplanetary puffball in which the crew of Dragonfall 5 land on a forest world where helium-balloon flowers abound and learns that the Moloks, who look like koala bears and pilot giant airships, are not the villains their neighbors make them out to b. .but evangelical vegetarians determined to liberate the geese that the Shanchis fancy at table. Much the same scenario as The Space Cowboys (p. 121, J-45) but Earnshaw's cunning inventions-the flying hound dog (like a flying squirrel he actually glides) and the telepathic chipmunk-like Minims-keep this small whimsy in orbit.
