Ron DeLord was a patrol officer for the Beaumont, Texas Police Department from 1969 to 1972. He served as a patrol officer and detective for the Mesquite, Texas Police Department from 1972 to 1977. In 1977, DeLord was one of the founders of the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas (CLEAT) and was elected its first president. Ron and his wife, Brenda, live in Georgetown, Texas.
