This book covers the basics of the social systems approach, and its relationship to human behavior.

This book covers the basics of the social systems approach, and its relationship to human behavior. It is not the clearest written book I have read, nor the most engaging. However, if you have to use it for class, you will learn basic, important behavior about the social systems approach. In my book: "Trauma and Transformation: A 12-Step Guide", I fully explore the spiritual side-effects of trauma, and how the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous is a powerful systematic approach for the trauma survivor seeking a spiritual solution.

Human Behavior in the Social Environment: A Social Systems Approach. November 1974 · Social work. If the firm is conceived as a social system, Luhmann's theory implies that the neglect of social behaviour by the predominant theories of the firm can be explained as reflecting the neglect of society by actual firms. This argument promises to not only furnish the theory of the firm with a concern for sustainability, but also render it more amenable to unconventional institutions, such as cooperatives and non-profit organisations, that help compensate for the damage inflicted by conventional firms on the social environment.

When I ordered this book, I had already taken the class and I just wanted a copy for my collection. When I received the book I was amazed at how new it looked. I couldn't believe that I had just paid one cent for it and it was hardly used. The postage and handling cost more and this is not the first time this situation has happened to me. I also bought my college algebra book off Amazon for only one cent. "It's Amazin on Amazon!" If they use my quote, I need to get paid, LOL!

This is a great book... I used it in my human behavior class for social work master's program and I decided to keep it for reference. It is great to learn system theories.

My professor recommended this book as one to keep with us. It has valuable information and is not difficult to read.

I found this book very confusing...I had to actually think about what I was reading and reread it multiple times just to organize it and understand it. I read another similar book and it was much easier to understand.

This book is based on Freud's obsolete ideas about human nature. There is only one scientific theory of human nature: Darwinism. If you are interested in human behavior, read evolutionary psychology. David Buss is a good place to start:
