Knight was a singer in the 1960s Harlem R&B music scene, usually fronting his own band, the Squires. In 1965, with Hendrix as guitarist, he recorded some singles and demos for record producer Ed Chalpin.

May 22, 2018 Tony rated it really liked it. Better than I expected. Though, I wouldn't call it an excellent read today. His sources for backstories were quite good, particularly Eric Burdon's anecdotes, as well as people closer to him than others.
