Ihre Ausführungen zur Psychoanalyse, die das halbe Buch einnehmen, haben mich jedoch ratlos zurück gelassen. Auch der Bezug zu Derrida scheint mir zeitweise zweitrangig.

Sarah Kofman (French: ; September 14, 1934 – October 15, 1994) was a French philosopher. Kofman began her teaching career in Toulouse in 1960 at the Lycée Saint-Sernin, and worked with both Jean Hyppolite and Gilles Deleuze. Her abandoned primary thesis (thèse principale) for her State doctorate, later published as Nietzsche et la métaphore, was supervised by Deleuze. In 1969 Kofman met Jacques Derrida and began attending his seminars at the École Normale Supérieure.

Flag as Inappropriate. In 1969 Kofman met Jacques Derrida and began attending his seminars at the Ecole Normale Supérieure. Kofman did not receive tenure until 1991, when she was appointed to a chair at the Sorbonne. Kofman was the author of numerous books, including several on Friedrich Nietzsche and Sigmund Freud. Her book, L'énigme de la femme: La femme dans les textes de Freud (1980), is perhaps the most thorough consideration of Freud's ideas concerning female sexuality.
Sarah Kofman (1934-1994), Professor of Philosophy at the Sorbonne in Paris and the author of over twenty books, was one of the most significant postwar thinkers in France. Kofman's scholarship was wide-ranging and included work on Freud and psychoanalysis, Nietzsche, feminism and the role of women in Western philosophy, visual art, and literature. The child of Polish Jewish immigrants who lost her father in the Holocaust, she also was interested in Judaism and anti-Semitism, especially as reflected in works of literature and philosophy.
