Die Gruben Von Villette book.
Villette is a colder book because I believe Charlotte Bronte was trying to put her real life love behind her by writing it out. I think it was done out of sadness, depression and loneliness and she built a wall between herself, her characters and her readers. There is such a thread of "this doesn't really matter" running through it that it is hard to become close to the characters or care very much about what happens to them.

Written by the author of world-famous "Jane Eyre", "Villette" is considered to be one of the finest Charlotte Bronte’s works. The book tells the story of a young teacher at a girls school in the Frenc. h town of Villette named Lucy Snow and is superbly told by Mandy Weston. This tale is of an inwardly emotional journey than anything eventfully culminating or epically engaging. Plot-wise, this merely treks the path of a young English woman completely alone in the world gaining her livelihood in a girls' school on the European continent.
Villette /viːˈlɛt/ is an 1853 novel written by English author Charlotte Brontë. After an unspecified family disaster, the protagonist Lucy Snowe travels from her native England to the fictional French-speaking city of Villette to teach at a girls' school, where she is drawn into adventure and romance. Villette was Charlotte Brontë's third and last novel; it was preceded by The Professor (her posthumously published first novel, of which Villette is a reworking), Jane Eyre, and Shirley.
