Tickle, Tickle is a great book! I checked out all of the Helen Oxenbury books from the public library to read to my daughter when she was about a year old. We borrowed them over and over again, and loved them so much that she and I could still quote them and she is now 17 years old!

Adorable pics and fun rhythemic story. I recieved this book as a gift 25 years ago when my children were babies, and I like it so much that I often purchase it to put with baby gifts. I love that there of children of differenct raves in the book.

Our very favorite Helen Oxenbury title. Love that there are children from many cultures.

Such fun books for the little ones.

My son absolutely loves this book. The text is lyrical and the illustrations endearing. My only surprise when we received it was that the book is only 4 pages long! The text consists of one short poem, one line per page. That just means that we have to read it at least 3 times before my son (13mos) has his fill. Also, the copy we received has a white cover instead of purple. Overall, though, this is lovely book, and quite different from others we have seen in its simple charm. We also have Clap Hands and Say Goodnight by the same author, and they are equally lovely.

I bought this as a gift for a friend's child because of fond memories of it when I was little. It's super cute and I love the diversity of children represented (though I do have to wonder what exactly the living situation is here). A favorite of mine that will be on my baby's shelf someday, too.

I would have liked this book for my son when he was younger, but made the mistake of buying it for him at age two. Though he was slightly amused by the ending "tickle, tickle" it is difficult to hold his attention. Also, since my child does like to spend time looking at pictures in books, it is difficult for him to hear the rhyme because they are spaced out on different pages.

Not for children older than two.

My baby great grands love the easy to turn pages.
One of my favorite baby books. My children are adults and I always made an effort to read multicultural books to them, and this was one of our favorites, especially getting tickled at the end! A great addition to baby's library.
