Sir Sacheverell Reresby Sitwell, 6th Baronet CH (/sæˈʃɛvərəl/; 15 November 1897 – 1 October 1988) was an English writer, best known as an art critic, music critic.
Sir Sacheverell Reresby Sitwell, 6th Baronet CH (/sæˈʃɛvərəl/; 15 November 1897 – 1 October 1988) was an English writer, best known as an art critic, music critic (his books on Mozart, Liszt, and Domenico Scarlatti are still consulted), and writer on architecture, particularly the baroque. He was the youngest child of Sir George Sitwell, 4th Baronet, of Renishaw Hall.

I have recently been reading Great Flower Books, 1700-1900 by Sacheverell Sitwell. I was not really very familiar with him prior to that.
Sitwell, English literary family, one of the most celebrated literary families of the 20th cent. They were the children of Sir George Sitwell, an antiquarian and genealogist, and were reared on the family estate in Derbyshire.
The book was published by Country Life and printed at the lovely Curwen Press in Plaistow, east London. The front cover of a wonderful book - the 1939 "Old Fashioned Flowers" by Sacheverell Sitwell that is so beautifully illustrated by John Farleigh - who produced this title page.
