This is a rather esoteric book on clocks by Wallace Nutting, who is better known for his books on the New England states. I bought it because the price was right and it added to my collection of other original Nutting books.

The Clock Book" was written and illustrated by Wallace Nutting. It also includes a long list of American clockmakers. This clock catalogue is profusely illustrated with black and white photographs of clocks from all over the world. The book has brown cloth covers with gilded embossed lettering. There is some buckling of the fabric but otherwise this book is in very good vintage condition. The binding is tight and the pages are clean. This book would make a fabulous gift for.

John ware Willard's Simon Willard and His Clocks, an interesting read; and Kenneth Roberts' The Contributions of Joseph Ives to Connecticut Clock technology. I'm sure others will be along soon with other recommendations. It has long been out of print, but copies come up from time to time on the auctions. I got my copy for 50 cents at the local library.
