Start by marking The Exiles Of Asbestos Cottage as Want to Read: Want to Read savin. ant to Read. Difficult book to read due to somewhat 'flowery' descriptions, a huge number of facts and observations, plus asides from the author which sometimes had to be re-read to make sense of. Interesting from a New Zealand point of view, the book is about the early settlement of the mountains between Motueka and Takaka, asbestos mining and gold mining.

Exiles is the name of multiple comic book titles featuring the team Exiles and published by Marvel Comics, beginning with the original Exiles comic book series which debuted in 2001. Exiles was created by Mike Marts, Mike Raicht, Judd Winick and also artists Mike McKone and Jim Calafiore. Exiles was created after a period of development aimed at creating a new What If? book for Marvel.
Jim Henderson has crammed a multitude of facts and memories into this book, cobbled together with a sometimes difficult mix of banality, supposition, and quite a lot of flowery prose. Not an easy book to read, but I have got through it (finally) with new knowledge and respect for those early pioneers.
