Series: Phoenix 60p Paperbacks. Publisher: Phoenix (an Imprint of The Ori (1996). The description of this "book" should have been more detailed so that the fact that it was a short story was very evident. If the "60p" next to the title meant 60 pages, then that was correct for that booklet. The original (and exact same short story) I read had a different title, called "The White Birds" and was a total of 18 pages, within the book "The Blue Bedroom, and Other Stories" by Rosamunde Pilcher. 60. Stories are always a form of resistance. While these 45 pages can be read very quickly, each line gives the reader something the chew over & consider at length. Publisher: Weidenfeld & Nicolson History (December 22, 1995).

Kite enthusiasts in the Bedford Virginia area gather to enjoy flying.

Phoenix-Fly offer custom designed carbon blades that lead to a new level of sharpness and accuracy in the flying abilities on our bigger wingsuit models

Phoenix-Fly offer custom designed carbon blades that lead to a new level of sharpness and accuracy in the flying abilities on our bigger wingsuit models. Working in a similar manner to the fins on a surfboard, they give the tail end of the suit a sharper carving ability, meaning tighter flying and faster lines. All our wingsuits have ram-air airlocked inlets, standard on all wingsuits except the Vampire series, as originaly designed by Phoenix-Fly. This puts added sets of inlets on the back of the suit, allowing for inflation of the wings in all orientations. As an option, we offer them on tracking suits aswell.

I thought I was buying a bio of Wallis Simpson -- Not! but the book is a terrific collection of short stories. Well worth buying. Really thought provoking stories. Love it! and would recommend...

The first story, about Wallis Simpson, is so poignant that it will make your heart ache. The rest of the short stories were varied and well done but not nearly as interesting.

Avoid. A very depressing collection of short stories.

This book was very dark and hard to get into and understand. It was not one of my favorite reads. I did not like it.

the book itself, was not very good, very little on Wallis Spencer Simpson there are many boos on the subject and this was not one of them

I was very disappointed in this book. As I started reading it and getting into it, it ended and went on to another short story!
The author used profane language that was not called for, and jumped from one tale to the next. Don't waste your time or money on this book. I am glad I purchased it used and paid very little for it. It wasn't worth the postage! It looks as though the entire book is about Mrs. Simpson judging from the title. It is very deceiving from the cover. I don't understand the high praise for the author, Rose Tremain - totally not worth the read.
