The Best of Mystery book. Hitchcock coolly serves up cool cops, clever gangsters, bodies stuffed in trunks, kidnappings, adulterous affairs, murder, and espionage, and the resulting thrills are positively delicious.

These 63 spine-tingling stories originally appeared in Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery magazine. The stories are all short reads, and very good for late night reading just before bed, or as a quick read before dashing off to work.

The master of suspense presents 47 spine-tingling tales of murder most foul, taken from the annals of Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine. I enjoy all of Hitchcock anthologies. The stories, while some are better than others, are captivating and intriguing. I always finish one before starting another, not from loyalty, but because I love them so much.

Who doesn't love a book with stories chosen by the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock? I haven't finished all the stories yet (I'm saving them up), but I find myself describing plots with their always surprising twists to family and friends. I especially liked... oops, can't give it away.

The stories are all short reads, and very good for late night reading just before bed, or as a quick read before dashing off to work.
