You may not believe in the death penalty, or you may scoff at religion, but you cannot deny the astonishing power this story holds. It will force you to look at the issues from all sides. Picoult exudes a woman’s way of knowing, which may explain how her books manage to be disturbing and comforting in the same breat. icoult has the answers, but true to life, they are not easily arrived at.

Change of Heart book. In this novel, Picoult utilizes a familiar technique; you can expect moral quandaries abound served up on a silver platter. The characterization was excellent and the characters relatable. I wasn't really a fan, however, of the over-arching themes of this particular book.
