Jane was hoping for a second date - maybe even a boyfriend. What she wasn't expecting was Paul Bryant's completely original and sincere pick-up line: "Hi. I'm Paul. I have terminal cancer. My wife was killed in a car accident, and I'm looking for a woman to raise my children." It was never Jane's plan to fall in love with a dying man and his two infants. But her seemingly simple decision to date someone outside her faith leads to one complication after another, and the choices she makes soon have far higher stakes than she could have foreseen. Wonderful story, very talented author. Turned off by the blatant proselytizing. I am not a Mormon, will never be a Mormon. Am very hesitant to read the follow-up novels. I probably feel the same way others do when they read obvious Christian novels; however, they generally are warned ahead of time. They know what they are getting into, but with this novel, I didn’t.

It's so great to read a book that has clean language, nothing to detract from the story line, and is appropriate for all ages. The author pulls you in from the very beginning and this book is a page-turner. I LOVED it! I had to immediately order the second book in the series. I laughed and cried. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a little romance and intrigue.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed reading this romantic novel. What a refreshing change to have clean language, a well written story with twists, turns and surprises. Theses characters will stay with you long after you've completed reading the book. I'm looking forward to Ms Holmes other books. I highly recommend to anyone of any age.

This is one of the best novels I have read. The characters are superbly developed and the plot is thoroughly engaging, such a fresh, unique story. It is so well written and real, and at the same time, it's hopeful and its message lingers on. I loved the relationship between Jane and Peter. Very well done!

Fun read - what I like to call a "no-brainer" - read it while on a long plane flight - perfect for that - or for the beach. Enjoy!

This book was absolutely amazing!!!! After I read "The Icing on the Cake" I didn't think LDS novels could get any better, then I read this. Its not like any other book I have ever read and it is most definitely NOT predictable! There were moments I strongly considered throwing my 200$ kindle across the room(glad I didn't) and there were moments it had me giggling and squealing like a little girl(: overall, best LDS book ever!

Great reading
Poor literary novel. I knew within the first couple chapters, I could not read further. Waste of my money for such a simple e-book.
