Presented roughly chronologically, the books introduce a series of topics on double-page spreads with a magazine-like combination of a few paragraphs of text, two or three captioned photos, and occasional sidebars. Sara Barton-Wood has covered many royal stories as a reporter for national newspapers in London, which probably explains why she includes so many key details throughout the book about the queen (. appearing in shows on the BBC). Barton-Wood also makes a point of covering both the good times and the bad times for her subject.
