Mary Moody is an Australian author who trained as a journalist at The Australian Women"s Weekly and became a long time presenter on Gardening Australia. She has written more than forty gardening books and four memoirs – Au Revoir (2001),, The Long Hot Summer (2005) and Sweet Surrender (2010). She also appeared as a panelist on the chat show The Catch-Up on the Nine Network in 2007. Moody lives in the rural hamlet of Yetholme, near Bathurst where she holds Open Garden weekends and continues her writing in between leading cultural and botanical treks in the Himalayas and gourmet walking tours in France.
