Bad storyline.Alessandro was ridiculously harsh for no apparent reason he knew she was innocent and he treated her like she did something wrong when he left her knowing she was a virgin meanwhile it was discussed in the book about his numerous affairs and Michelle just took it,usually these characters speak up for themselves a little bit this one did nothing but apologize(what was she saying sorry for?) and cry.Just a bad storyline.

It was a huge disappointment. The plot was hard to follow. The main charactors was terrible. The male charactor was mean and controling. and the female was a push over. wish i didnt waste my money on this dribble.

Intense doesn't begin to describe The Tuscan Tycoon's Pregnant Housekeeper written by Christina Hollis with both of her characters Michelle and the handsome Alessandro having past issues to be dealt with regarding their past.

The very shy and somewhat plain Michelle was ruled by her very stern mother and has sincere self esteem issues. However, when the rich and proud Italian arrives at the mansion she's taking care of as housekeeper she doesn't stand a chance. Her gentleness and innocence immediately charm him; she's like no other woman he's met and he decides to have a vacation affair. However he abandons her and returns to Italy. He also makes arrangements with one of his foundations to set Michelle up in business and buys her a cottage.

Returning back to England, Michelle finds herself pregnant and meanwhile Alessandro can't seem to get her out of his mind so he returns to England to rekindle the affair and finds out her secret. Being always in control of his life, business and affairs, he demands she return to Italy with him and marry for the sake of his heir.

Alassandro literally has overturned the family business and whatever he touches he's a success. There is no way he'll ever allow House of Castiglione to be tainted. He'll marry her, get his heir but she won't affect him in any way. Both of his own parents strayed so love for him isn't ever going to be an option.

As for Michelle does she love him? What would she know of love, no one had ever shown her, including her parents. Reading about her upbringing and how she was willing to settle for anything he gave her was very hard to read. I wanted to strangle him for his incensitivity. Michelle's stay at the villa was sad to read as well, not speaking the language and being shut out but when Alassandro's secrets are uncovered and everything is revealed about his past, the reader begins to understand his actions.

Alassandro and Michelle's love story even though at times was sad to read, their coming to understand each other was lovely to read.

I got this book as part of a bundle pack, and will not be finishing it. The story is confusing and the male/female leads are boring and one-sided. He's insulted she let him take her virginity as if she had drugged him, tied him down, then intentionally got pregnant. Don't even get me started on her. She has the personality and spine of a doormat. Then, when he reveals things to her (like the fact that they're getting married) she doesn't even put up a token complaint. I don't even understand why this book was published.

There is nothing good to say about this book. The H was a bully without morals, and the h was a total ditz. What I especially hated was that she was such a doormat. If he was like "You're a gold digger who trapped me by becoming pregnant!" Her reply would be something like "I'm so sorry, Alessandro, what can I do to make it up." Then total mental leap to: "Wow, your house is sooooo beautiful, you must be reeeeeally rich!"
The thing that made the end even worse - the H did not even have to resort to some decent grovelling to convince the h to stay with him. Ugh!

I'll never get back the two afternoons I tried to get through this...

This book was so horrible I can't believe that it was meant to be a romance novel. The book starts off with Alessandro coming to stay at the house where Michelle is a housekeeper and for a few days they flirt with each other until Alessandro finally takes Michelle's virginity and leaves the country while she's sleeping.

After Alessandro finds out Michelle's pregnant he totally railroads her and desides he's going to marry her because in his opinion she's immoral because she didn't tell him she was a virgin and all she was looking for was to trap him by having his baby. Alessandro goes on to call the paparzzi to surround Michelle's store so that she has no choice but to back to Italy with him if she ever plans to live without journalist in her face (journalist I should remind you that Alessandro called in the first place) and then threatens to make her lose her job, her home, and to sue for sole custody and deny her any access. At this point in the book I was so disgusted that I felt the need to throw something, and to my horror the story just got worse from there.

Alessandro had a horrible childhood and didn't feel loved by his parents and the author explains this at the end of the story to explain away everything he did to Michelle, but it just made me hate him even more. Michelle also had a bad childhood but she didn't treat people like crap. The author's portrayal of Alessandro was truly disgusting, Alessandro even went as far as to tell Michelle after he told her they were getting married (told not asked)as they are about to go to bed together that he "does not do fidelity." Alessandro was rude and domineering throughout the whole book and decides that he was wrong and he really does "love" Michelle in the last five pages.

I would NOT recommend this book to anyone (or this author if her other books are anything like this one) who likes romances because this defintely not the one for you. Michelle has no self esteem, or the ability to stand up for herself, even going so far as to apologize to Alessandro for getting pregnant (as though it were totally her fault) because of bad publicity it may generate for his company. And Alessandro is an egotistical domineering pig with no thought for anyone's feelings, much less Michelle's.
