My Under the Sea Pop-Up Book. My toddler liked this book so much that when he destroyed the hand me down copy we were given I had to find another. This arrived as promised and in reasonably good condition. Great for any kiddo interested in animals. A fun pop-up book with lots of cute (and a few not-so-cute) sea creatures. It also has a rhyming narrative that provides an entertaining caption for each picture. 1932209409 (ISBN13: 9781932209402). Recommended for older children due to the fragility of the moving parts, but very entertaining nonetheless.

This makes a great souvineer for a young child's visit to the beach. It also is good for a "quiet time sit down cuddle session with a youngster young child
I was surprised to read the 1 star review since my granddaughter LOVES this book. She's almost two and I've only recently read it to her for the first time. She just loves the pop-ups. She knows all the names of the sea life and since she's recently learned her numbers, we also count all the same types of sea life on any one page. Unfortunately, I haven't found another pop-up book that I like nearly as well. I have to agree with one reviewer that the one star criticism seemed rather harsh.
I thought this book was cute. Parts of it fold out or move and kids find it amusing, I should know since I have to read to kids everyday. The above review was unnecessarily harsh I think.
This book seems like it was written in China. The rhyming doesn't make sense and I don't think it will make my child brighter. The pop ups are great, but I find the book is poorly written.
My 7-year-old still brings it out for bedtime stories. I was actually here to buy it for a birthday present because my daughter still loves it. I thought it was cute and never noticed the yellow eyes. I had to get our copy out and look. I can't see that the eyes stand out. I think the text does a good job of featuring the unique qualities of each animal.
We love this book! My son is 3 and we have been reading it to him since he was born. the pictures are adorable and the rhyming tales on each page are just too cute! I am going to buy a copy for my sister who is having her 1st baby- definitely a family favorite:)
Ugly illustrations -- for most (but not all) of the characters, the artist made the off-putting choice to color their eyeballs yellow, giving them a sickly, jaundiced look. The look and feel are cheap, the writing seems like it was done in half an hour at most. No child deserves this cruddy of a book when there are so many better books for children in the world.
