Visiting the sick is an event that most people are not prepared to handle. This book, written to guide visitors as to the appropriate procedures when considering a visit (what to say, what not to say, how long to stay, etc). I have been a chaplain assistant at our local city hospital for over 13 years and this handbook has been indispensable for me. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone- layman or professional, for its sensitive guidance to a most challenging subject.

While written primarily for the Jewish patient, it has value for all who are ill, as many prayers are non-denominational.
