I thought that A Summer of Horses, was a great book, and i think the person who said "who would ride english on a trail ride?" is totally wrong. I ride english and i've been on more trails than you could ever dream of. Anyway, this was a great book, i cried (seriously) and laughed out loud at some parts. I also think that a great thing about this book is that it is completely origional. I really loved this book, and i highly reccomend you read it!!!

I think this book can be a bad infuence on little kids they can read it and then get scared about what happened to the person. Also a bad on parents because they might get scared that will happen to you but otherwise its a great horsey book!

I read this book for the 1st time in 5th grade and loved it. I was a horse lover, taking riding lessons but a little scared of horses. This book is not meant to be an instruction manual on riding, but rather a wonderful book about overcoming fears. I can not imagine it would in any way make kids or parents fear horses. I am now 26 and pregnant with a little girl and I am buying it for her - it was my favorite book and I read it over and over. I'll probably read it again at 26 years old.
