I was born in 1973 and my mom read me this book and "Where Did I Come From" when I was a child. It explains real life issues in the way a child can understand without being scared or uncomfortable. This is definitely a great childhood memory and I am so glad to see that these books are still in publication. Can't wait to share with my children.

I saw this book at the library and was going to check it out to read to my kids, until i got to the point where it says something like this: You see, everything you do goes in a book, when you are bad it gets written down in the book, when you are good it goes in the book, too. If there is more bad than good than you go to hell. WHAT BIBLE ARE THEY READING FROM? This is a book that seems like it stems from Catholic beliefs; that is faith based on doing good WORKS. (if you can just do enough good things you can go to Heaven!) THIS IS NOT WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT GOING TO HEAVEN. The Bible's message is that by grace through FAITH in Jesus Christ you are a child of God and can be sure of his saving power and of your eternity. If you know any true "saved" person, you will know that they do good works BECAUSE they are saved and want to be obedient and please the Lord. It doesn't matter if you do 1,000 good things in your lifetime, you must accept Christ as your savior. THAT is the message of the Bible. This book is blatently lying about what the bible really says about heaven and anyone who gives this book to their child will be falsely indoctrinating them. Find another book, or go to the Bible when your child asks you how they can know they are going to Heaven. This book is nothing but false teaching. Cute concept, if it alligned with the Bible, but since it doesn't, it's distubing!
