In devising IRA/Sinn Fein strategy the jailed comrades have always been crucial, particularly in their support for Gerry Adams's leadership throughout the past five years of his peace strategy. Other republicans are loth to criticise prisoner pronouncements. An interview with the Maze CO is authoritative, and fire-proofed.
