Robin Williamson first came to prominence as a member of the Incredible String Band, continuing on his merry way with two more groups, before finally turning solo in the late '70s. One wonders what took him so long to do so, seeped as he was in the great bardic tradition, an occupation of one, not many. Williamson supplies most of the instrumentation - harp, bagpipe, guitar, whistles, and so on, with guests assisting with strings and horn as necessary.

GLINT AT THE KINDLING is a set of of the typically majestic and haunting British folk for which Williamson is renowned, with eccentric lyrics and full, lush arrangments.
