Mrs. Paden writes with great style and grace of her "vacation" trips along the Oregon/California Trail in the 1940's - 100 years after the Trail was first established. She wasn't content with just getting near the Trail. She drove her car (I wish she'd have said what make/model she was driving) along the Trail and thoroughly describes what she encounters. A real pleasure to read and extremely informative from a woman who knew the Trail and the emigrant experience like few others ever will. Highly recommended.
