James Patterson's BLACK FRIDAY starting with a fire-bombing attack on Wall Street is a rehash of an older Patterson book. I did my best to find something worthwhile in the book but midway through I gave up. I have read over 45 Patterson books. This ranks among the worst.

Initially Fernandez's uneven reading is no match for this exciting thriller, which begins with an explosion that all but immolates Wall Street. Fernandez's voice is always pleasant and clear, but at the beginning his pacing is uneven. His narration runs characters and scenes together.

Nearly a dozen of James Patterson's Alex Cross thrillers feature Peter Jay Fernandez as the voice of Patterson's . He recalls the voices easily, and this serves him well because the Patterson books are often recorded on a tight schedule to coincide with the hardcover book release.

This is a good read but a bit dated at this point in time. I had read this many years ago but had forgotten so ended up reading it again. My only negative comment would be that the ending is a bit weak and I consider the ending to be a very important aspect of any novel. You may enjoy it and I have enjoyed many of Patterson's novels.

MASTERPIECE is all I can say about this book Mr Patterson. The early sex scene would put Sandra Brown to shame but having paid for ii I decided to read a bit further..And Whada thriller to the end with little Mickey Keven wearing the police bat. Now ï wlll end and not reveal the true hero for future readers.

To think that this really could happen in our government is scary beyond words. I'm not so gullible to believe there is no deception among our government but I do wish the government would do more for our veterans. I'm sad that I have finally come to the end of reading all of Mr. Patterson's books. What a great author!

Be aware that this book and his Black Market are the same. This story was originally published as Black Market and then re-released under the Black Friday title. There was a note on the cover by the publisher stating this title change. I could not read this note from the listing so I ended up paying twice for the same exciting story.
Starts off a bit slower than Patterson's other books, but is certainly current, as this could happen tomorrow.

No election in book. But my oh my the conspiracy of a group called you many names having power over govt. this makes one really think. No wonder an outsider has everyone against him if only half of this would be true. Fiction? Yes? Good fiction? Definitelty. One of Pattersons best.

I did my best to find something worthwhile in the book but midway through I gave up. I have read over 45 Patterson books. This ranks among the worst. Giving it a 1 out of 5 rating is an exaggeration. Pass this one up.

Can't say enough bad things about the book! Grammar, punctuation, spelling throughout the book. Because of the mistakes throughout the book, I went back several times to understand what was trying to be conveyed. Who does your editing and proofreading? Or is author trying to crank out as many books as possible without checking on his work? He's rich enough! Get a better proofreader/editor... Very disappointed...
This book truly showed a dark side to politics and those who seek power above all else. Thank you to the police and our veterans who have sacrificed for us.
